Retraining is an important part of our future economy with the recent economic downturn and a shift to a knowledge- and service-based employment market. There are also subgroups of people needing more focused retraining efforts. One specific employment issue is the re-entry of former felons into the labor pool; many people are unable to work due to a felony offence that may have occurred more than ten years ago. 
How do we provide retraining opportunities for all segments of our community? How do we link people needing jobs to opportunities?

Through organizations like Forsyth Technical Community College we can continue to provide retraining opportunities to all segments of the community.

Parts of our community were never trained to being with
Develop hubs throughout community so that opportunities are easy to access. You could use public schools as sites.
We need to provide career counseling and guidance to our job seekers so that training dollars will be spent effectively.

Retain your planning staff to think unchecked growth is NOT better for us.
Reuse buildings - don't build new ones.
Work with community colleges, they are the experts

Not continue to cut schools, raise taxes if needed; impossible without resources
